Clark Construction Group is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team. As a Project Engineer, you will play a critical role in the success of our projects, working closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure timely and within-budget completion.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with project managers to develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Lead daily coordination between clients, trade partners, engineers, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Prepare and forward submittals, confirming compliance with plans and specifications.
- Support the development and updating of project schedules and subcontractor detail schedules.
- Play a lead role in the development of project plans, including scope, budget, and timeline.
- Monitor and expedite material deliveries to ensure conformance with the project schedule.
- Review change proposals from trade partners and negotiate as appropriate.
- Facilitate coordination of drawings with project managers and superintendents.
- Draft change orders, solicit prices from subcontractors and suppliers, and perform scope take-off and estimate costs.
- Lead close-out of projects, including assembling manuals and other warranties for turnover to owners and preparation of final payment documents for subcontractors.
- Develop and lead training sessions for your team and trade partners.
- Take ownership of document management applications.
- Cultivate a network of industry relationships to bring potential business opportunities to Clark leadership.
- Cultivate industry relationships to help attract and recruit top talent to Clark.
- Exceed stakeholders' expectations by anticipating their needs, desires, and goals.
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or a related discipline.
- 2+ years of experience in an engineer, project engineer, or similar role in the construction industry.
- Demonstrated knowledge of scheduling, cost engineering, subcontract coordination, and general project administration.
- Demonstrated ability to read drawings and specifications.
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and Google Workspace products.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Interest and passion for building and the industry.
- Alignment to Clark Standards of Excellence: Self-Motivated, Results Oriented, Adaptable, Team Player, Accountable, Ethical, Innovative, Resilient, Builds Relationships.
- OSHA 10 certification.
- Procore experience.
- Primavera P6 experience.
- Experience working for a general contractor.
Clark offers a total compensation package that includes base salary, bonus potential, and a comprehensive benefits package, including health/dental/vision benefits, paid time off, retirement/401k, and Company Contribution plan.
Additional benefits include life insurance, commuter benefit, short & long term disability, fitness reimbursement, FSA, tuition reimbursement, back-up daycare, tutoring & family support benefits, EAP/Work-Life assistance, and a holiday contribution program.
For this role, the base salary range is $85,000-166,000. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's education, experience, skills, and geographic location.
Base pay is one part of the Total Compensation Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
