Project Coordinator Job Description

Hickory Mechanical Inc. is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to join our team. As a Project Coordinator, you will play a critical role in the success of our projects by providing administrative support, coordinating project activities, and ensuring timely completion of tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate project management activities, resources, equipment, and information.
  • Break down projects into manageable tasks and set realistic timeframes.
  • Assist the Project Manager in assigning tasks to internal teams and managing schedules.
  • Help prepare budgets and assist with project procurement management.
  • Monitor project progress and work closely with the Project Manager to eliminate blockers.
  • Utilize project management tools to track working hours, plans, and expenditures.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans, and reports.
  • Compile submittal information and record change orders.
  • Assist with project start-up and closeout processes.
Requirements:
  • 2-5 years of experience as an assistant.
  • 3+ years of experience in construction.
  • Understanding of construction SOV and budgets.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
