Job Summary

The Stoughton Area School District is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Performing Arts Center Theater Technician. This position requires a working knowledge of coordinating lights and sound for events such as concerts, musicals, plays, and other performances. The successful candidate will have excellent event planning and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with event managers and advisors.

Key Responsibilities

* Coordinate lighting and sound for events, ensuring a high-quality experience for performers and audience members
* Collaborate with event managers and advisors to plan and execute events, including setup, technical rehearsals, and showtime
* Troubleshoot technical issues and make adjustments as needed to ensure a smooth event
* Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols and best practices

Requirements

* High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field (e.g., theater, music, technical arts) preferred
* 1-2 years of experience in a related field, such as theater, event production, or technical support
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues
* Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed
