Geisinger is seeking a skilled Advanced Emergency Medical Technician to join our team. As an AEMT, you will be responsible for providing basic life support and operating emergency medical services vehicles in accordance with the Pennsylvania Emergency Medical Services Act 37 and related regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to emergency calls in assigned work area.
  • Abide by all Pennsylvania Motor Vehicle Laws while transporting patients.
  • Maintain a safe environment for patients by following proper vehicle and equipment protocols.
  • Provide Basic Life Support level of patient care during emergency responses.
  • Participate in regular vehicle maintenance and inspections to ensure readiness for response.
  • Assist in the orientation of new hires and provide preceptorships as assigned.
  • Promote patient safety by identifying potential risks and reporting incidents according to hospital policy.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
  • Advanced Emergency Medical Technician Certification (Required)
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
