Senior Accountant Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team at 24 Seven Talent. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial reporting and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day accounting duties, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll, ensuring accurate and timely reconciliations.
  • Process invoices, commissions, credit cards, and other expenses, maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
  • Set up and update vendors with W9 information and prepare year-end 1099s, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Verify incoming wires with CRM, match commissions with incoming wires, and process income to projects, ensuring accurate financial reporting.
  • Monitor and manage accounts receivable, ensuring timely collection and accurate recording.
  • Process payroll, new hire setup, and updates with employees, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Update and maintain accounting databases and software, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Handle intercompany transactions, ensuring accurate and timely recording.
  • Prepare and review monthly and quarterly reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Controller to develop and implement company budgets, ensuring accurate forecasting and financial planning.
  • Track and audit monthly budget vs. actuals, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Communicate with vendors and clients via phone and email as necessary, maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
  • Support administrative duties as needed, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.
  • Work on special projects as needed by the Controller and Executive team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Develop and implement processes to improve department and company standards, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements:
  • Extremely detail-oriented and accurate, with a strong focus on quality and precision.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and forward-thinking, with a ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Confident personality and capable of being persistent when necessary, with a diplomatic and tactful approach to communication.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and willingness to work with multiple departments, ensuring seamless collaboration and communication.
  • Intermediate to advanced experience in QuickBooks Online, with intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Minimal experience working with databases and specifically a Salesforce environment, with a willingness to learn and adapt.
Education/Experience:
  • Associate degree or higher, with a minimum of 2+ years of experience in corporate accounting and 2+ years of experience in cash management.
