Compensation Range:
$53.00 - $68.30

The actual salary for this role will be established based on experience and other legally permissible factors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluates and analyzes medication orders to identify, prevent, and resolve potential and actual drug-related issues. Suggests formulary alternatives when suitable.
  • Prepares and dispenses medications ensuring accurate delivery to patients.
  • Offers drug information and educational support to healthcare professionals and patients.
  • Engages with physicians and other healthcare providers as necessary to enhance patient care.
  • Supervises technical staff involved in the preparation, maintenance, and distribution of medications and supplies. Participates in educational roles such as mentoring pharmacy students. May provide coverage for pharmacy operations as needed.
  • Conducts patient counseling effectively and efficiently when required.

Minimum Qualifications - Licensure / Certification / Registration:
Required Credential(s):

  • Licensed Pharmacist credentialed by the New York Board of Pharmacy prior to employment or job transfer.

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy is mandatory. Pharmacy residency is preferred.

Work Complexity:

  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to operate with minimal supervision. Must be capable of functioning in a high-pressure environment.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Adheres to Standard Precautions utilizing personal protective equipment as necessary.
Must be proficient in speaking, reading, writing, and following instructions in English.
