Orlando FL Endoscopy ASC LLC is seeking a skilled Endoscopy Technician to join our team. As an Endoscopy Technician, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our endoscopy suite.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare patients for procedures: Assist in preparing patients for designated procedures as requested by physicians.
- Assist physicians during procedures: Assist physicians during endoscopy procedures, handling patient specimens and accurately completing laboratory slips and culture/path slips as requested.
- Maintain a safe environment: Report observed changes in patient condition to the Endoscopy/Recovery Room nurse and work collaboratively with the healthcare team to prepare the endoscopy suite according to patient, physician, and procedure requirements.
- Ensure proper equipment maintenance: Follow manufacturer's instructions for use and center policies and procedures for cleaning, high-level disinfection, or sterilization of instruments and equipment.
- Assist with inventory management: Assist with maintaining adequate inventory of supplies and proactively participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) and Safety Programs.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certifications: BLS certification.
- Experience: One (1) year experience as an endoscopy technologist (preferred).
