Job Summary

Concentra is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist and Medical Support Specialist to join our team. As a vital member of our patient care team, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, including escorting them to dressing and x-ray rooms, providing verbal and written instructions, and assisting with positioning body parts to be radiographed.

• Operate radiologic equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes, positioning equipment and adjusting controls to set exposure time and distance according to examination specifications.

• Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to ensure the safety of patients and team members.

• Ensure radiologic equipment remains in working order, reporting malfunctions to the Center Operations Director.

• Follow all Radiology workflows and ensure accurate documentation of patient x-ray visits.

• Maintain all x-ray equipment, including calibration, QA/QC procedures, and record keeping in accordance with current policy and procedures.

Medical Assistant Duties

• Perform Department of Transportation (DOT) and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing.

• Prepare patients for physical examinations, including taking vital signs and any required or requested ancillary testing.

• Assist providers during examinations and treatment, performing routine medical procedures as ordered by the treating clinician.

• Triaging emergent patients as needed, preparing and assisting clinicians with procedure setup and injury care.

• Apply bandages, dressings, and splints as ordered by the treating clinician, dispensing medications and DME as needed.

• Complete quality assurance activities on equipment and medical devices, maintaining supplies, cleaning rooms and equipment, and stocking exam rooms.

• Maintain and operate all medical devices and equipment, including calibration and record keeping in accordance with current policy and procedures.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.

• Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology and applicable certification by the state in which employed.

• Registered with The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and has active and valid certification.

• CPR/First Aid Certification.

• At least six months or more of medical assistant experience with knowledge of medical procedures and medical terminology.

• Working knowledge of occupational medicine requirements (state specific) is preferred with prior medical office, healthcare, and/or customer service-related experience.
