Key Responsibilities- Manage the parts sales process from start to finish, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all transactions.
- Communicate effectively with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner, building strong relationships and trust.
- Converse with customers regarding parts status, providing timely and accurate information to meet their needs.
- Utilize the parts catalog to locate and identify specific parts, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the sales process.
- Answer phone calls, provide price quotes, and respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Review body shop estimates to verify the accuracy of parts ordered and pricing, ensuring compliance with estimates.
- Provide high-level service to both internal and external customers, meeting their needs and exceeding expectations.
- Pull and fill orders from stock, maintaining accurate inventory levels and conducting weekly bin checks to ensure accuracy.
- Notify the parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that require immediate attention, ensuring timely resolution.
- Locate out-of-stock parts from external sources and submit emergency orders as necessary, ensuring minimal disruption to the sales process.
- Ensure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair orders, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance.
- Receive payment from retail customers or obtain credit authorization, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- High School Diploma or equivalent and prior auto parts sales experience (preferred).
- Eager to improve in a dynamic work environment, with a strong desire to learn and grow.
- Strong interpersonal and time management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to read and interpret safety and maintenance documents, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts, including discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record, with the ability to operate a company vehicle safely and efficiently.
