Hirewell is seeking a skilled Facilities Engineering Technician to join our team. This role involves performing preventive maintenance and corrective repairs of buildings, building systems, equipment, and grounds.
Key Responsibilities- Align with codes and regulations: Ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and Company directives related to building operations and work safety.
- Inspect building systems: Monitor the operation of fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure they meet design capabilities and achieve environmental conditions prescribed by clients.
- Coordinate external work: Inspect and coordinate the work performed by outside contractors, including landscaping, snow removal, remodeling, HVAC, plumbers, and cleaning.
- Perform assigned repairs: Complete preventive maintenance, emergency, and repair tasks as assigned.
- Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Experience: Minimum of one year of campus facilities maintenance or related experience and/or trade school training
- Basic computer skills: Use personal computers and/or PDAs for work order systems, email, ESS, and training
- Physical requirements: Ability to move within the office environment, navigate different areas of the organization's facilities, and perform tasks that require fine motor skills, clear vision, and adequate hearing
