We are seeking a skilled Recreation Therapist Pool II to join our team at Rogers Behavioral Health. As a key member of our interdisciplinary staff, you will develop, plan, implement, facilitate, direct, and evaluate experiential therapy programming in all specialized treatment areas.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement experiential therapy programs that promote psychosocial functioning and recovery skills in patients/residents.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to provide individualized treatment within a group setting.
- Utilize recreational activities to aid patients/residents in learning and applying recovery skills.
- Provide education and training to staff and students on experiential therapy techniques and best practices.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine the effectiveness of experiential therapy programs.
- BS/BA degree in art, music, dance, recreation, or other therapies required; Master's degree preferred.
- Certification/registration through appropriate credentialing board preferred.
- Valid driver's license in the state of employment.
- American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR or American Red Cross Professional Rescue certification required.
- Formal training in management of aggressive patients required.
