Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Progressive Laser Surgical Institute. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our eye care team.

Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse will be responsible for rendering nursing care in assigned areas, utilizing nursing techniques, procedures, and established standards based on the scope of practical nursing. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized patient care, utilizing nursing knowledge and skills to implement basic preventive, therapeutic, and rehabilitative nursing care.
  • Insert IVs, observe patient response, and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in cross-training opportunities to enhance skills and contribute to the growth of the team.
  • Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Valid registration as an LPN in the state of Pennsylvania.
  • Current AHA Healthcare Provider training (BCLS).
  • Current BLS certification or obtain within 6 months of employment.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and listening skills.
  • Solid attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure individually and as part of a team.
