About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Grants Management Specialist to join our team at Gateway Community Health Center, Inc. This is a critical role that requires a strong understanding of grant management principles and practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage grant proposals and maintain a comprehensive funding database to ensure compliance with programmatic and fund management requirements.
- Perform administrative tasks related to grant preparation, reporting, and monitoring, including preparing and submitting grant proposals, progress reports, and correspondence to funders.
- Identify grant funding opportunities and assist with writing, submitting, and managing grant proposal narratives, applications, and supporting documents.
- Maintain a proficient knowledge of the Center's history and programs, and work with Directors/Managers to compile financials and data.
- Develop and maintain a grant-tracking and report management system, and develop reporting systems to ensure the Center's ability to meet grant reporting requirements.
- Provide technical assistance to program Directors/Managers in the preparation of reports, and prepare work plans and timelines to ensure submission of state or federal program reports in a timely manner.
- Maintain files and records, and prepare reports related to grants issued and/or received.
- Assist the Director in organizing and conducting Center and staff training as required by administration.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in public administration, business administration, public health, or a related field.
- Two years of work experience.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to gather information and analyze data.
- Ability to professionally and accurately represent the Center, its mission, philosophy, and services.
- Demonstrates advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Publisher, and PowerPoint).
- Must be able to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions.
- Must be able to travel in-town and out-of-town.
