Waste Connections is seeking to hire a Mobile Sanitation Technician to join our team.

The primary responsibility of the Mobile Sanitation Technician is to operate a vehicle along designated routes to deliver and retrieve sanitation units, while also managing the collection of waste and transporting it to designated disposal facilities. This role involves significant physical activity, including heavy lifting, maintaining a steady pace, and occasional bending.

Work Schedule: Start time is early morning, concluding upon the completion of the assigned route, typically spanning 8-10 hours. Weekend work may be required during peak seasons.

Compensation: The hourly wage is competitive and commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle;
• Safely load and unload sanitation units using appropriate equipment;
• Efficiently maneuver sanitation units for delivery and placement;
• Perform cleaning and maintenance of sanitation units, including waste removal;
• Follow route sheets to ensure timely service to all customers;
• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the vehicle;
• Service and restock multiple units daily;
• Adhere to safety protocols and operational guidelines;
• Exhibit strong customer service skills;
• Complete necessary reports and documentation accurately.

Working Conditions:

• Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds;
• Drive for extended periods, with potential exposure to various weather conditions;
• Engage in physical activities requiring a full range of motion.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Possession of a valid Class C Driver's License;
• Maintaining a clean driving record;
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English.
