Senior Anesthesiology Professional

Cayuga Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Senior Anesthesiology Professional to join our team in Ithaca, NY.
As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional medical care to patients. You will conduct comprehensive medical evaluations and assessments, develop personalized treatment plans, prescribe medication, order diagnostic tests, and perform surgeries when necessary. Your expertise will be instrumental in improving patient outcomes and contributing to the overall well-being of those we serve.
We offer an attractive salary package ranging from $530,000.00 to $590,000.00 per year, commensurate with your experience and qualifications.
Job Responsibilities:
- Patient Care
- Conduct thorough medical evaluations and assessments to diagnose and treat various medical conditions
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for patients, taking into account their unique needs and circumstances
- Prescribe medication and other therapies as necessary to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging studies to inform treatment decisions
- Perform medical procedures and surgeries when required, ensuring the highest level of patient safety and satisfaction
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to ensure the best possible outcomes
- Provide patient education to empower individuals to take control of their health and make informed decisions
- Effectively communicate with patients, families, and colleagues to ensure seamless coordination of care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in a timely fashion, adhering to strict confidentiality and data protection protocols
- Stay current with the latest medical research, treatments, and technologies to deliver evidence-based care
- Participate in Continuing Medical Education (CME) activities and peer review processes to enhance professional growth and development
- Collaborate with other specialists and healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and improve outcomes
- Work collaboratively with Advanced Practice Providers to provide high-quality, patient-centered care
- Participate in the education of clinical learners (residents, APP students, etc.) to foster the next generation of healthcare professionals
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and reduce errors
- Ensure safe care is provided to all patients, adhering to established standards and guidelines
- Adhere to the highest ethical and professional standards of medical practice, upholding patient confidentiality and privacy
- Comply with all relevant laws and regulations governing medical practice
Qualifications:
- Doctorate MD or DO from an accredited medical school required
- Completion of a residency or fellowship program commensurate with area of specialty
- Board certification or eligibility in the appropriate specialty, acceptable to Cayuga Medical Center
- Unrestricted Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration
- Medical Staff Privileges within the Health system
- Current and unrestricted license to practice medicine in applicable state required
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of evidence-based medicine
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassion, empathy, and a commitment to patient-centered care
- Ability to work collaboratively in a healthcare team
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and CME
