Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Fleet Mechanic Technician II to join our team at Sysco. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of our fleet vehicles.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel fleet vehicles, including inspections, diagnostics, and repairs.
  • Conduct quality control checks to ensure all work meets company standards.
  • Collaborate with other team members to resolve complex maintenance issues.
  • Stay up-to-date with manufacturer recommendations and industry best practices.
  • Document all work performed and maintain accurate records.
Requirements
  • Medium/Heavy Duty truck technical training.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair or 2-year school and 1 year of experience.
  • Current and valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
  • ASE certifications in Automotive or Medium/Heavy Duty Trucks.
  • 609 HVAC Certification.
  • Annual Inspector Certification.
  • Brake Inspector Certification.
Work Environment

This role requires working in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to mechanical parts, tools, and equipment. You will be required to work non-traditional business hours, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Travel to other locations may be required.
