Job Summary

As a seasoned Electrical Engineer Supervisor, you will provide strategic leadership to a high-performing team of engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence in the design, implementation, and maintenance of substation SCADA and telecommunications systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and plan work activities associated with the specification and management of substation SCADA and telecommunications equipment.
  • Develop and implement SCADA and telecommunications standards, ensuring consistency across engineering groups.
  • Provide input into the annual capital maintenance budget process, focusing on field communications projects.
  • Oversee NERC Reliability Standards assignments to staff Subject Matter Experts for both 693 and CIP requirements.
  • Coach, mentor, and perform performance reviews, guiding employee development and training.
  • Interview and evaluate candidates for employment, making hiring recommendations.
  • Participate in industry forums, conferences, and staff recruiting activities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant, equivalent experience and/or education.
  • Minimum of five years of engineering work experience.
  • Minimum of two years of engineering power system protection and control systems experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of electric system components and related functions.
  • Effective leadership and motivational skills, including mentoring, coaching, and developing co-workers and/or subordinates in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to analyze performance measures and implement process improvements.
  • Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written skills.
  • Possesses a valid driver's license.
  • Authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
