The Clinical Specialty Pharmacist plays a vital role in delivering specialized pharmacy care services across various clinic sites. This position is integral to supporting pharmacy needs across multiple markets, ensuring that all clinical, operational, and prescription processes are efficiently managed.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a subject matter expert in pharmacy, collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team to meet patient needs.
- Engage with healthcare professionals to facilitate exceptional pharmacy care services.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medication history and laboratory values.
- Manage medication therapy and disease states to optimize patient outcomes.
- Ensure seamless prescription processing through the specialty pharmacy.
- Address financial barriers to medication access for patients.
- Maintain accurate data for reporting and analysis.
- Implement continuous quality improvement principles in daily operations.
- Provide drug information and education to both medical staff and patients.
Qualifications
Licensure: A valid Pharmacist license is required, with the expectation to obtain additional state licenses as necessary.
Education: A Bachelor's or advanced degree in Pharmacy is mandatory.
Preferred Experience: Board Certified Specialty Pharmacist with a minimum of two years in ambulatory care or specialty pharmacy.
