National Grid is seeking a skilled Pipe Handler to join our team in Massachusetts. As a Pipe Handler, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the installation and maintenance of natural gas pipelines.
Key Responsibilities- Perform manual labor, including excavation, backfilling, and handling of pipe, fittings, and materials.
- Operate heavy equipment, such as paving breakers and rock drills, and assist in operating tapping and stoppering equipment, heating and joining equipment for plastic pipe.
- Successfully complete training and obtain proper licenses to perform higher classification duties.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Good mechanical aptitude and ability to exercise good judgment.
- Must pass Company physical and qualifying tests.
- Massachusetts Driver's License and good physical condition required.
