DevOps Strategist

At Franklin Fitch, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of DevOps to lead our DevOps practices and drive efficiency and scalability across our development and operational environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive DevOps strategy aligned with business goals, driving automation and efficiency across the software development lifecycle.
• Team Management: Lead, mentor, and build a high-performing DevOps team, promoting best practices and a culture of innovation and collaboration.
• Infrastructure Management: Oversee the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure using Kubernetes and other cloud technologies.
• Database Management: Utilize MongoDB for data management, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability.
• Search Solutions: Implement and maintain ElasticSearch solutions for efficient data retrieval and analytics.
• Scripting and Automation: Utilize GroovyScripts and other scripting languages to automate processes and enhance operational efficiency.
• Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Champion CI/CD practices, ensuring seamless integration and deployment of applications.
• Monitoring and Optimization: Establish monitoring solutions to ensure system performance, reliability, and security; proactively address issues.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product management, software engineering, and IT teams to align on project goals and deliverables.
• Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, providing updates on projects, risks, and achievements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in DevOps, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
• Proficiency in MongoDB, GroovyScripts, ElasticSearch, Kubernetes, and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Strong understanding of CI/CD methodologies and tools.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire teams.
• Proven track record of leading successful DevOps initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
