About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Admissions Counselor to join our team at Converse University. As an integral part of our Admissions team, you will play a critical role in meeting our enrollment goals and providing exceptional service to prospective students and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Goal Achievement
    • Achieve enrollment targets set by the Director of Admissions and VP for Enrollment Management
    • Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract students to Converse University
    • Prepare and deliver regular reports to the Director of Admissions and VP for Enrollment Management
  • Travel and Event Planning
    • Plan and execute recruitment travel, including scheduling, transportation, and accommodations
    • Represent Converse University at college fairs, school visits, and other recruitment events
    • Host receptions for school counselors and prospective students in targeted areas
  • Visitor Management
    • Attend campus preview days and admissions events
    • Interview and tour families who visit the campus
    • Plan and execute designated sessions at on-campus events
  • Communication and Relationship Building
    • Establish and maintain communication with prospective students, families, school counselors, and educational community partners
    • Develop and implement strategic communication plans to support admissions efforts
    • Build relationships with school counselors and alumni in the designated recruitment area
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Strong customer service skills and ability to work with diverse groups
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to travel extensively and work flexible hours
