Patent Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Patent Analyst with expertise in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Biotechnology to support our team at Clarivate Analytics US LLC. This is a remote, flexible 1099 role that offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical knowledge and research skills in a dynamic environment.

• Perform comprehensive searches to identify relevant prior art and provide logical and complete search histories.
• Prepare written opinions applying the most relevant prior art to the disclosure.
• Maintain proficiency with commercial patent searching databases and other proprietary databases of technical publications.
• Stay up-to-date with best practices and changes to search procedures through self-directed review of materials provided by Clarivate.
• Ensure compliance with Clarivate's Code of Business Ethics and Corporate Conduct.

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related field.
• 1+ year of experience working with patents or in the intellectual property field.
• 1+ year of work experience in the industry or advanced research in a related field.
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
• Strong time management skills and the ability to complete projects against deadlines.

• Previous patent examining/patent searching experience.
• Highly skilled in developing a search methodology and conducting searches.
• Experience with Orbit, PatBase, Google Scholar, or PatSeer.
• Master's degree or PhD in a related field.

This is a remote position, and all work must be completed in the United States. A computer running up-to-date versions of Windows or Mac OS, a reliable high-speed internet connection, and a secure work location are required.
