At TidalHealth, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Exercise Specialist to join our team. As an Exercise Specialist, you will be responsible for providing fitness assessments, exercise prescriptions, education, and lifestyle modifications for employees seeking to improve their fitness level and overall health.
The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge base in cardiovascular physiology, exercise physiology, and ACSM guidelines. You will also have experience in formulating exercise prescriptions from exercise tolerance tests, knowledge of medications and their effects on exercise performance, and knowledge of the application of exercise therapy for patients with co-morbidities.
In addition to your technical skills, you will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with adult and geriatric patient populations. You will also be confident in leading group exercise sessions, including warm-ups, cool-downs, and circuit weight training.

Responsibilities:
- Provide fitness assessments and exercise prescriptions for employees
- Develop and implement exercise programs for patients with co-morbidities
- Lead group exercise sessions, including warm-ups, cool-downs, and circuit weight training
- Work effectively with adult and geriatric patient populations
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans
Requirements:
- BS in Exercise Science or Community Health Education
- AHA, BLS certification required
- American College of Sports Medicine Exercise Specialist or Health Fitness Instructor certification required or willing to complete within two years of employment
- ACLS certification required or willing to complete within one year of employment

- Competitive salary range: $17.20-$24.94 commensurate with experience
