Job Summary
Preferred Therapy Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Rehabilitation Technician to join our team. As a key member of our rehabilitation department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with specific treatment activities assigned by the treating therapist, ensuring a high level of patient satisfaction and outcomes.
- Transport patients to and from rehabilitation departments for scheduled treatment, providing a safe and comfortable environment for our clients.
- Prepare patients for therapy as directed by supervising therapists, demonstrating a strong understanding of patient needs and requirements.
- Modify patient equipment, such as wheelchairs and splints, as necessary to ensure optimal patient comfort and mobility.
- Report patient response to treatment and changes in medical status to supervising therapists immediately, maintaining open communication and collaboration.
- Assist with computer data entry and generate reports as requested, demonstrating strong technical skills and attention to detail.
- Complete timely and accurate documentation of direct, indirect time, payroll, efficiency, and clinical reporting, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Adhere to confidentiality standards of HIPAA and all Infection Control, Universal Precautions, and OSHA standards for healthcare professionals, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
- Use a professional and clear style of verbal and written communication, effectively interacting with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
- Clerical duties, such as answering calls, photocopying, filing, faxing/scanning/uploading documents, and supply ordering, will also be required.
- Maintain rehabilitation areas and equipment in a neat, clean, and safe manner, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.
- Attend in-services and facility meetings as required, staying up-to-date on industry developments and best practices.
- Work cooperatively in group situations, demonstrating flexibility, team building, and promoting a positive work environment.
- Implement a customer service philosophy to promote value and customer loyalty, ensuring exceptional patient satisfaction and outcomes.
- Report to work on time and adhere to schedule, demonstrating a strong commitment to reliability and accountability.
Requirements
- Hold a Certified Nurses Assistant (CNA) or currently enrolled in a therapy program (PTA school or COTA school) or Completion of Preferred Therapy Solutions Competency.
- Hold a High school diploma or Graduate Equivalency Degree.
- Demonstrate concise oral and written communication skills with rehab staff, facility staff, patients, and families.
- Demonstrate regular attendance.
