CONTRACT | LIFT DIRECTOR, CRANE & RIGGING |
Advastar, Inc is seeking a qualified and certified Lift Director to manage Crane and Rigging activities. This role is essential for overseeing operations in a new construction project that involves multiple cranes as the project progresses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be present on-site during all lifting operations to ensure safety and compliance.
- Prepare the work area for crane operations before any lifting activities begin.
- Communicate responsibilities and safety protocols to all personnel involved in the operation.
- Address any safety concerns and make decisions regarding the continuation of operations.
- Designate qualified signal persons and ensure their readiness.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations when working near power lines or during personnel lifts.
- Oversee load rigging performed by competent riggers.
- Implement necessary precautions for specialized lifting operations.
Qualifications:
- Certified Lift Director (NCCCO or equivalent certification required)
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification
- Proven experience with Rough Terrain and Crawler cranes, with capacities up to 600 tons or more
Compensation:
- Hourly rate commensurate with experience
- Per Diem available for eligible travelers
- Anticipated work hours range from 50 to 60 hours per week
- Long-term project duration with potential for extension
