Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Technician to join our team at Harvest Hill Beverage Company. As a Quality Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality in our manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect and Test Products: Conduct regular inspections and testing of ingredients, work-in-progress, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Communicate with Production Team: Collaborate with production operators, lead-persons, and supervisors to address food safety and quality issues, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Lead Quality Initiatives: Provide quality leadership and guidance to production operators, and actively work towards improving product quality, reducing costs, and enhancing customer satisfaction.
- Maintain Quality Records: Accurately document and maintain records of inspections, testing, and nonconformance holds, and ensure proper disposition of rejected products.
- Stay Up-to-Date with Regulations: Maintain knowledge of relevant food safety regulations, including HACCP, FDA guidelines, and SQF standards.
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; BS degree in biology, microbiology, food science, or related field preferred.
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment or related field.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent communication and leadership skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
