Job Summary

Encompass Onsite is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping/Custodian to join our team. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of our client locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate mechanized cleaning equipment, such as vacuums, to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Maintain facility in a sanitary and infection-free condition through washing, cleaning, and replacement of equipment and furnishings.
  • Dispose of trash, waste, and other materials in a responsible and environmentally friendly manner.
  • Manage cleaning solvents, chemicals, and germicides, and comply with all relevant regulations, such as OSHA, EPA, and State Health Department.
  • Follow job assignments and maintain a high level of productivity and efficiency.
  • Damp dust furniture, light fixtures, windowsills, and other areas as assigned.
  • Wet mop floors and clean wash basins, mirrors, commodes, tubs, and showers daily.
  • Report any needed repairs immediately to supervisor, such as leaking faucets or toilets, loose tile, broken windowpanes, missing nuts, or screws, etc.
  • Wash windows as scheduled and check area for water spills and clean immediately to avoid potential injury.
  • Maintain housekeeping equipment and utility closets in a clean and orderly manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
  • Verbal and written communication skills necessary for effective working relationships with other employees and the general public.
  • Ability to lift, carry, walk, sit, push, pull, and move continuously during work hours.
  • Ability to lift and/or carry 25 to 45 pounds throughout the day.
Preferred Requirements
  • Previous housekeeping experience.
  • Prior solid surface (resilient floor) care experience.
  • Valid Florida Driver's license.
