Avionics Technician I

We are seeking an experienced Avionics Technician I to join our team at Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation. The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing system discrepancies to ensure minimum schedule impact.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in avionics and aircraft systems operational testing and troubleshooting. They will be responsible for performing the installation and functional testing of electrical/avionics components and systems per Engineering specifications, drawings and maintenance manuals.
The Avionics Technician I will also be responsible for ensuring quality and efficiency of all installations, troubleshooting processes/concepts to provide timely, quality repairs of malfunctioning systems. They will acquire and demonstrate the skills and knowledge required to effectively and efficiently repair or replace defective components and wiring to ensure installations meet conformity.
The successful candidate will be a team player who is able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. They will be responsible for performing and complying with engineering changes and modifications as required, and ensuring that all work performed on the aircraft is properly and completely documented and ready for inspection.

Key Responsibilities- Perform troubleshooting and repair of system discrepancies to ensure minimum schedule impact.
- Install and functional test electrical/avionics components and systems per Engineering specifications, drawings and maintenance manuals.
- Ensure quality and efficiency of all installations, and troubleshoot processes/concepts to provide timely, quality repairs of malfunctioning systems.
- Acquire and demonstrate the skills and knowledge required to effectively and efficiently repair or replace defective components and wiring to ensure installations meet conformity.
- Perform and comply with engineering changes and modifications as required.
- Ensure that all work performed on the aircraft is properly and completely documented and ready for inspection.
High School Diploma or GED required. 2 years related work experience; or two (2) years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics. Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams.
