Job Title: Physical Therapist Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Technician to provide high-quality care to our patients. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of Physical Therapists to perform operational tasks, including patient intake and preparation, observation and documentation, and clinic maintenance responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Physical Therapists in preparing treatment areas, equipment, and materials for patient care.
  • Prepare patients for physical therapy treatment by welcoming, providing, and/or assisting patients into physical therapy apparel or apertures.
  • Assist patients with exercises, help with transfers, and provide support during treatments under the direction of Physical Therapists.
  • Educate patients regarding physical therapy treatments and exercises, including proper use of equipment.
  • Observe patients performing prescribed physical exercises and immediately report concerns.
  • Document patients' responses to treatment and update patient files.
  • Perform basic prescribed treatments, such as applying ice packs or heat pads as instructed.
  • Clean and sanitize equipment and therapy areas, ensuring the clinic is in compliance with safety and sanitation protocols.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including ordering supplies, answering phone calls, and scheduling appointments as necessary.

Requirements:

  • 2nd shift availability (4pm-8pm)
  • Bilingual Spanish
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • CPR/Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50lbs regularly
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of physical therapy principles and techniques
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and medications
  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Outpatient or previous healthcare setting experience is preferred.
