Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CT Technologist to join our team at Akumin Operating Corp. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring patient safety and producing high-quality diagnostic images.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure patient safety by pre-screening for contraindications to radiation and contrast injections, and using aseptic injection techniques.
  • Produce high-quality diagnostic images using CT scanners and other equipment.
  • Effectively communicate with customers and radiologists to ensure accurate diagnoses and patient care.
  • Train new technologists and patient coordinators to ensure seamless workflow and high-quality patient care.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience; associate's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Registered Computed Tomography Technologist by the ARRT.
  • State license and CPR certification required.
  • Strong customer service and organizational skills, with ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs.
Physical Requirements

The employee may be exposed to outside weather conditions during patient transport and may be required to lift and move patients.

  • More than 50% of the time: sitting, standing, walking, repetitive movement of hands, arms, and legs.
  • Less than 50% of the time: stooping, kneeling, crawling, climbing, and balancing.
