Child and Family Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Child and Family Therapist - Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Bethanna, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing high-quality care for children and families.
The successful candidate will provide psychiatric clinical leadership for our Children's Mobile Intervention Services (CMIS) program, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional care to persons served in the program.

Responsibilities- Provide Culturally Sensitive Care: Conduct culturally sensitive, strengths-based, trauma-informed, psychiatric nursing evaluations on each person served receiving treatment in the CMIS program.
- Develop and Implement Treatment Plans: Oversee the development and implementation of treatment plans for all individuals and families in the CMIS program.
- Prescribe Medications: Prescribe psychotropic medications as appropriate and provide medication management services consistent with each child's needs and best practice guidelines.
- Consult with Professionals: Consult with foster parents/childcare professionals, mental health clinicians, school personnel, social workers, and other involved professionals on psychiatric issues affecting the individuals served.
- Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance with protocols for monitoring Metabolic Syndrome, including labs completed in required timeframes, follow-up tests as needed, communication with primary care physician/pediatrician regarding abnormal labs, referrals for nutritional consultation for obese or underweight individuals, referral to an endocrinologist as needed.
- Foster Collaboration: Participate in Treatment Team Reviews, offer case consultations as needed, and conduct staff trainings as requested by the Clinical Director, Vice President of Integrity, and Vice President of Behavioral Health Services.
- Support Clinical Supervision: Support clinical supervision and training opportunities for staff to achieve their career aspirations.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Licensure and Certification: Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and certified as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and a Master's Degree in Nursing from regionally accredited programs, with at least two years of experience evaluating and prescribing psychotropic medication to children and adolescents.
- Cultural Competence: Demonstrate cultural competence with persons served, family members, and coworkers.
Bethanna offers a competitive salary of $140,000 per year, as well as benefits that include:
