Job Description

Job Title: Route Sales Representative

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Route Sales Representative to join our team at Southern Glazer's Wine and Spirits, LLC. As a Route Sales Representative, you will be responsible for increasing sales by providing exceptional customer service and selling-in additional displays of our products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with assigned accounts to increase sales volume and market share.
  • Provide excellent customer service to assigned accounts, creating and maintaining goodwill with all customers.
  • Identify opportunities to increase sales and implement strategies to achieve objectives.
  • Enter customer orders and make deliveries using a handheld device.
  • Reconcile daily paperwork, including money and invoices, and turn in records to ensure accurate financial tracking of delivery activities.
  • Complete and maintain route books and other related documentation to provide management with product and accounts sales data.
  • Utilize point-of-purchase (POS) materials to stimulate sales and increase product visibility.
  • Adhere to all company and legal guidelines regarding collection policies and procedures to protect company interests.
  • Merchandise product sections, maintain and increase shelf facings, clean shelving, and rotate product.
  • Safely drive and unload the truck, and move the product to the appropriate locations.
  • Safely drive a vehicle rated under 26,000 lbs. GVW while maintaining a clean driving record.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organization, multi-tasking, and time management skills.
  • 21 years or older.
  • Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record.
  • Due to size and DOT regulations on the vehicle used in this role, you must have the ability to provide all DOT-regulated documentation when required, including a DOT medical card.

Physical Demands:

  • Frequently sitting and operating a motor vehicle.
  • A considerable amount of time walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stooping.
  • Ability to load and unload up to 65-pound boxes of product, push and pull it up concrete/metal ramps through the back offices and aisles in our customer's stores.
