Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining a comprehensive Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) program that ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and promotes a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Incident Investigation and Reporting
    • Conduct thorough investigations into incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
    • Prepare and submit incident reports to management and regulatory agencies as required
  • EHS Compliance and Training
    • Develop and implement EHS training programs for employees and contractors
    • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with EHS regulations and company policies
  • Hazardous Waste Management
    • Manage the storage, disposal, and recycling of hazardous waste in accordance with regulatory requirements
    • Develop and implement procedures for hazardous waste management
  • Ergonomics and Workplace Safety
    • Conduct ergonomic evaluations to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions
    • Develop and implement procedures for workplace safety
  • Emergency Preparedness and Response
    • Develop and implement emergency response plans for EHS incidents
    • Conduct regular drills and training exercises to ensure preparedness
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • AS or BS degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related field
    • Minimum 3 years of experience in EHS management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and standards, including OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and ANSI
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional Certifications
    • OSHA 30-hour Construction Industry Outreach Training Program (CITP) certification
    • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification
  • Software and Systems
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
    • Experience with EHS management software and systems
