Position Summary

In this essential position, you will be part of the Conexon Connect operations team. Your main duties will include the installation, maintenance, and repair of FTTX broadband and voice services for our clientele. You will also supervise quality assurance processes for installation technicians in your area, ensuring that every project meets our high standards. Additionally, you will manage the distribution of inventory among technicians, playing a vital role in the successful execution of installations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install FTTX broadband services for residential and commercial clients.
  • Quickly restore services for customers after receiving trouble tickets.
  • Carry out both interior and exterior cabling of fiber optic and category 6 ethernet cables.
  • Conduct quality control evaluations of work performed by other technicians.
  • Execute underground fiber cable locating tasks.
  • Distribute equipment and materials to technicians and clients as needed.
  • Maintain adequate inventory levels at each job site.
  • Document inventory allocations accurately within the inventory management system.
  • Prepare and submit requisitions for necessary materials.
  • Work collaboratively with field personnel to ensure sufficient inventory is available.
  • Ensure precise inventory reconciliation.
  • Efficiently update customer-related equipment.
  • Thoroughly document processes and procedures for clarity.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in FTTX installation.
  • Experience with GLDS and NISC systems.
  • Proficient in PC and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Skilled in using optical testing equipment, including fusion splicers and OTDRs.
  • Ability to safely operate a company vehicle.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong leadership capabilities.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds.
