Porter Medical Center is a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital situated in the picturesque town of Middlebury, Vermont, and is affiliated with the UVM Health Network. We also feature the Helen Porter Rehabilitation and Nursing Home, which includes a 105-bed facility with specialized units for memory care, long-term care, and acute rehabilitation. Our extensive network of outpatient practices ranges from primary care to specialized health services. Position Overview:
- Deliver comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care to patients across all age groups.
- Work collaboratively with certified nurse midwives and nurse practitioners.
- Participate in an OB/GYN call rotation of 1:4, primarily supporting certified nurse midwives who handle first call.
- Conduct outreach outpatient GYN clinics in Ticonderoga, NY approximately once a month.
Candidate Profile:
- Medical Degree required.
- Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology or board eligible.
- Exceptional interpersonal abilities and a talent for building strong, respectful relationships within the healthcare network.
- Strong emphasis on teamwork and collaboration with all members of the care team.
Position Details:
- 0.75 FTE.
- Work three days a week, combining outpatient practice with operating room responsibilities. Participate in a 1:4 call rotation.
