Manufacturing Assembly Technician

In this role, you will be responsible for performing routine top-level assembly and calibration activities from written specifications, special instructions, and sample control or other product requirements.

This position is based in Wolcott, IN, and reports to our Plant Manager. As an Assembly Technician, you will work closely with our team to ensure the quality and efficiency of our products.

• Receive information on routine types and models from your Supervisor or Leader, along with any necessary instructions;
• Inspect parts supplied by the storeroom and secure any missing or short-count items;
• Assemble various sub-assemblies and parts using screws, nuts, clips, washers, springs, and other fasteners with hand tools or pneumatic/electric tools;
• Adjust assemblies as needed to ensure final product function or appearance;
• Perform leak checks and Hypot processes;
• Clean up your immediate work area and follow prescribed procedures to minimize breakage or moisture damage;

• You must possess all Assembly II skills, experience, and requirements;
• You should be able to follow instructions or samples within three to six months to attain proficiency on a variety of final assembly assignments;
• You should have some dexterity as most parts are small and control assembly space can be confined;
• You must be physically able to stand for prolonged periods, reach above shoulders, walk throughout the facility, and lift/carry up to 10 pounds.

The work environment can include a large variety of tasks throughout the shift and may be fast-paced. The work environment is generally clean and temperature-controlled.
