About the Role

The Sales Specialist will be responsible for achieving sales and customer service objectives while adhering to the operational asset protection standards of the boutique.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meet monthly and annual individual sales goals while working as part of a team to achieve the boutique's collective target.
  • Organize and prioritize the selling floor to support the sales effort and overall client experience.
  • Ensure all items are stocked at all times.
  • Maintain the selling floor to meet standards, including straightening, filling in, and replenishing new receipts following visual merchandising guidelines, physical electronic article surveillance tagging, ticketing, etc.
  • Provide assistance as needed in inventory preparation.
Point of Sale (POS) Responsibilities
  • Process and ensure the accuracy of all transactions, including receipts, customer relationship management files, and administrative support for after-sales service when needed.
  • Partner with management on POS decisions and communicate discrepancies, if any, during the opening, closing, and general POS variances by the end of the business day.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the workstation at all times.
Asset Protection Responsibilities
  • Comply with all asset protection procedures, including employee sign-in sheets, bag checks in conjunction with asset protection, practicing appropriate asset protection techniques, and following guidelines for key control and merchandise security.
  • Respect physical electronic article surveillance tagging guidelines and ensure all products are properly ticketed (on the floor, back of house, and merchandise returns).
  • Prepare for physical inventory and participate in monthly cycle counts (or as directed by management).
Customer Service Responsibilities
  • Consistently provide high levels of service to clients within the Herms standard of service: prompt and friendly greeting, offer to assist, and answer questions, and assistance with wrapping and packaging at POS.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in sales, preferably in a luxury environment.
  • Strong relationship development and impeccable communication skills.
  • Even-tempered with the ability to continuously multitask.
  • Self-starter and able to work independently while balancing collaboration with a team.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Open availability to accommodate the needs of the business.
  • Ability to lift between 0-25 lbs. without assistance.
