Perishable Stocker

Job Summary

Assumes responsibility for maintaining frozen food products to meet customer expectations. Ensures product quality and safety standards are met. Develops a strong understanding of products and provides excellent customer service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Restocks frozen food products to ensure efficient customer access.
• Maintains accurate inventory levels to prevent stock shortages and overstocking.
• Ensures dated products are rotated and removed to maintain quality and safety standards.
• Participates in receiving and stocking frozen food products from warehouse trucks.
• Provides customers with product information and recommendations to increase sales.
• Assists fellow team members in maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
• Maintains a high level of product knowledge to effectively communicate with customers and colleagues.
• Complies with all company policies and procedures, including those related to food safety and security.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to operate manual or electric pallet jack.
• Ability to safely operate and maintain department equipment.
• Ability to handle objects gently to avoid damage to items, people, vehicles, and property.
• Ability to safely work with sharp objects such as knives, box cutters, etc.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work well with fellow team members and promote a team environment.
• Ability to learn new technology systems, methods, and processes.

Education, Experience, and Qualifications

• Minimum of 16 years of age required.
• Minimum of 18 years of age required to operate equipment.
• Food Handler certification required.
• Typically involves on-the-job training.

• Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, or crawl.
• Occasionally exposed to outside temperatures and weather.
• Attendance at work is required.
