Department: Retail Logistics/Retail Service Center
Reports to: General Manager
This role is pivotal in guiding a team of hourly employees through effective coaching and professional growth to ensure seamless operations that support member store orders. The position collaborates closely with the General Manager, fellow department heads, team leaders, and all warehouse personnel, as well as corporate headquarters, business development teams, member stores, and suppliers. The primary operational focus is to guarantee a safe working environment while achieving an optimal balance between productivity and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Directly supervises a team of 30-40 employees, encompassing staffing, training, coaching, performance management, and conflict resolution.
- Manages daily warehouse operations, including inventory oversight, receiving, stocking, order fulfillment, shipping, and small parcel processing.
- Provides leadership in the application of Human Resource Policies and Procedures, including conducting annual performance evaluations and coaching on essential behaviors.
- Collaborates with Do it Best Corp. staff in a professional and cooperative manner.
- Addresses member store concerns with a strong emphasis on customer service.
- Works with the management team to resolve employee issues promptly and equitably.
- Assigns daily tasks to warehouse supervisors and offers coaching and performance feedback to team members.
- Ensures the warehouse operates efficiently and adheres to established standard operating procedures.
- Maintains a safe and healthy workplace by implementing and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.
- Forecasts staffing needs and performance metrics to meet business demands.
- Prepares, reviews, and analyzes reports to identify areas for operational enhancement (e.g., production, quality, safety).
- Regular attendance and adherence to company policies and procedures are essential.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field (e.g., Management, Logistics, Business Administration) or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience is required.
Skills and Abilities:
- Collaborative team player who effectively engages with diverse individuals.
- Self-motivated and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in time management and able to adjust to shifting priorities.
- Exceptional organizational capabilities.
- Experience in designing and optimizing distribution facilities and operations.

- Familiarity with WMS systems, equipment, and safety programs.
