Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sonographer to join our OB/GYN department at MedlinkHealth Anesthesia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for operating ultrasound equipment to produce diagnostic scans, evaluating image quality, and collaborating with physicians to determine additional procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnostic Imaging: Operate ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic scans, ensuring optimal patient care.
  • Image Quality Evaluation: Evaluate and verify image quality according to PHHS standards, maintaining quality control protocols.
  • Collaboration with Physicians: Review and interpret intermediate/complex exams with attending physicians to determine additional procedures.
  • Equipment Management: Determine equipment needs for complex examinations, ensuring availability of necessary supplies.
  • Cardiac Ultrasound: Identify and distinguish appropriate modality of cardiac ultrasound, operating equipment to ensure effective sonographic records.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and perform intermediate troubleshooting of ultrasound equipment, informing supervisor as needed.
  • Exam Room Preparation: Inspect, clean, and prepare exam rooms after each patient, ensuring efficient patient flow.
  • Billing and Reporting: Complete, log, and distribute billing reports to appropriate individuals, ensuring accuracy of patient charges.
  • Process Improvement: Identify ways to improve work processes, making recommendations to supervisor and implementing results as appropriate.
  • Research Participation: Participate in research studies regarding intermediate sonographic procedures with other medical staff, ensuring improved information sharing.
Requirements
  • Experience: At least 1+ years of experience in Sonography working OB/GYN cases.
  • Education and Certifications: ARDMS OBGYN discipline required; Fetal Echo certification strongly preferred.
  • Skills: Must have MFM, high-risk OBGYN & pre-natal experience; experience in gestation pregnancies, MCA dopplers, charge capture or ICD-10 Coding, imaging of fetal heart views, choroids, thalmi, cavum septum peelucidum.
