Job Overview

Japs-Olson Company, a leading provider of direct mail services and commercial printing, is seeking a skilled Ink Jet Press Operator to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating commercial web presses and setting up and monitoring Versamark Ink Jet systems.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Operate commercial web presses with precision and efficiency
  • Set up and monitor Versamark Ink Jet systems to ensure high-quality prints
  • Control spoilage and waste to minimize costs and maximize productivity
  • Participate in department training programs to stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and best practices
  • Follow documented quality control procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards
  • Work collaboratively with the team lead to achieve production goals and objectives
  • Perform basic maintenance on the press to ensure optimal performance
  • Follow company procedures, 5S, and Standard Work instructions to maintain a safe and efficient work environment

Requirements:

  • Previous experience operating web presses, preferably with Kodak Versamark Ink Jet systems
  • Heidelberg and Goss Web Presses experience a plus
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot issues
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
