Kaiser Permanente is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary clinic, you will provide mental health assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and crisis intervention services to adult and child members. Your expertise will be invaluable in developing and implementing clinical treatment programs, collaborating with treating physicians and allied health professionals, and providing outpatient psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families, and groups.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop, implement, coordinate, and evaluate clinical treatment programs for members with acute or chronic mental illness.
- Participate in staff conferences to select, plan, and evaluate treatment programs.
- Provide outpatient psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families, and groups.
- Instruct and counsel patients and their families regarding compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens and adherence to prescribed medication regimens.
- Administer specialized therapeutic procedures, as appropriate.
- Provide appropriate support to members' families.
- Develop and conduct psychoeducational classes and groups.
- Conduct psychological assessments, including test administration, interpretation, and recommendations.
- Prepare intake summaries, treatment plans, and case summaries and maintain ongoing confidential records.
- Chart members' treatment and progress in accord with state and NCQA regulations and in keeping with accepted community standards.
- PhD/PsyD/EdD in Clinical Counseling, Health, or School Psychology from an accredited college or university.
- Psychologist License (California) within 6 months of hire.
- National Provider Identifier required at hire.
- Knowledge of DSM-V, Evidence-Based Practice, and psychotherapy research methods.
- Accuracy in diagnosing patients and developing effective treatment plans.
- Competence in individual, family, and group psychotherapy.
- Professional maturity and ethical integrity necessary for assuming professional responsibilities.
- Commitment to quality of service, teamwork, and participation in a highly interactive multidisciplinary clinic.
