Soliant is seeking a dedicated and empathetic Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide essential support in the educational sector. The SLPA will operate under the guidance of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to deliver therapy services tailored for students experiencing communication challenges.
Core Responsibilities:
- Assist the SLP in delivering speech and language therapy to students.
- Implement therapeutic activities as specified in students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Track and document student progress throughout therapy sessions.
- Prepare necessary therapy materials and activities as instructed by the supervising SLP.
- Facilitate students in practicing communication skills across various environments.
- Maintain effective communication with educators, parents, and the SLP regarding student development.
Required Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or a related discipline.
- Valid licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant in Massachusetts.
- Experience working with children, particularly in educational settings, is advantageous.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Capacity to follow instructions and collaborate effectively within a team.
