Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with a minimum of 1.5 years of general nursing experience. This role is ideal for professionals who are passionate about patient care and case management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accepts first-time travelers with over 2 years of experience.
  • Travelers must reside more than 100 miles from any affiliated facilities.
  • Permanent staff must complete a full year before returning as travelers.
  • Working hours will be communicated upon hiring.
  • Case Managers will deliver care across all acute care departments.
  • Maintain a patient ratio of 1 Case Manager to 16-20 patients.
  • Required certifications include BLS.
  • Completion of a nursing education program approved by a nursing board is mandatory.
  • Must hold a Registered Nurse (RN) license under the relevant nursing board.
  • Essential skills include discharge planning, acute care case management experience, and effective communication with families regarding care plans.
  • Support will be provided by Case Management Assistants, Lead Case Managers, Social Workers, Utilization Review RNs, and Hospitalists.
  • The electronic charting system utilized is EPIC.
  • Orientation includes 1.5 weeks with an EPIC training session.
  • Weekend rotation involves working 2 weekends per 13-week assignment.
  • Typical weekend staffing includes 3 RN Case Managers, 1 Social Worker, 1 Lead Case Manager, 1 Case Manager Assistant, and 1 Utilization Review Nurse.
  • No on-call duties are required.
  • Expected to work 2 out of 4 major holidays.
  • Up to 7 days of approved time off, with extensions required for any full week off.
  • No time off during specific high-traffic events.
  • Uniform color is Navy Blue or Professional attire.
  • Free parking is available for all staff.
