Job Title: Registered Veterinary Technician - Ophthalmology

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team at Veterinary Vision, a leading provider of ophthalmic care for animals in the Bay Area.

About the Role:

As a Registered Veterinary Technician in our Ophthalmology department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our board-certified ophthalmologists in their daily work. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting veterinarians with examinations, surgeries, and treatments
  • Monitoring and attending to patients' needs before, during, and after procedures
  • Conducting diagnostic tests to assess eye health and function
  • Providing surgical support and ensuring proper post-operative care
  • Informing pet owners about eye conditions, treatments, and follow-up care
  • Maintaining accurate medical records for each patient
  • Ensuring ophthalmic equipment is clean and functional
  • Providing assistance in urgent situations such as eye injuries or acute conditions
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current RVT license in California with 2+ years of clinical experience
  • Consistent and reliable ability to perform mathematical calculations for drug doses, CRIs, client invoices and estimates, and other position-related calculations
  • Proficient in anesthesia
Work Schedule:

This is a full-time position with a 4/10 schedule.
