An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled Data Quality Senior Analyst to join the New York Power Authority's Enterprise Data Governance & Quality Team. This role is responsible for executing the Data Quality Framework, managing the existing Data Quality platform, and leading various Data Governance initiatives. As a key member of the team, you will work closely with business users and leaders to meet their data needs and drive improvement in data quality across the organization.

About the Job

This position involves assisting all business units across NYPA to establish data quality metrics and improve overall quality of enterprise data. You will collaborate with business units to understand their data needs, identify data requirements, and develop data quality rules. Additionally, you will lead the integration of data from various sources into the Data Quality Platform to perform data quality metrics and manage the development and operations of the Data Catalog, Business Glossary, and various Data Governance & Quality processes.

Responsibilities

* Collaborate with business units to understand their data needs and identify data requirements, including business rules, controls, metrics, and targets for various datasets.
* Define data quality rules and analyze data quality profiling results to provide suggestions for improvement.
* Lead the integration of data from various sources into the Data Quality Platform to perform data quality metrics.
* Work closely with the Data Governance team on quality metrics necessary to drive improvement and demonstrate execution of greater strategy.

Requirements

* A Bachelor's degree in a related technical field is required, with a Master's degree preferred.
* Minimum 5 years of data-related work experience, including at least 2 years as an analyst or lead within the Data Governance & Quality function.
* Strong working knowledge of Data Quality tools such as Trillium, Ataccama, or other similar tools.
* Proficiency in programming languages, including Structured Query Language (SQL), Python, or other scripted languages, and ETL frameworks.
* Strong understanding and hands-on experience of Data Governance & Quality domains, including metadata management, master data management, data quality, data stewardship, and/or data protection.
* Excellent communication skills to interact with diverse audiences across business and technical teams, and the confidence to present to senior leaders.
* Strong organizational skills to prioritize and execute tasks across multiple projects with tight deadlines and aggressive goals.
