Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Direct Maintenance Staff: Oversee the work of maintenance employees, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Maintenance and Repair of Equipment: Plan, assign, and inspect the work of maintenance employees, ensuring that equipment is properly maintained and repaired.
  • Budgetary Responsibilities: Assist in the development of the budget and make recommendations for purchases, capital items, and additional employees.
  • Operational Duties: Perform operational duties as needed to cover shifts and ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.
  • Computer Maintenance Management: Oversee the use and maintenance of computer maintenance management software.
  • SCADA System Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and control of the SCADA system.
  • Materials and Supplies: Supervise the maintenance and control of materials and supplies.
  • Record Keeping: Supervise the maintenance of time, production, and pumping station flow records.
  • Training and Development: Train maintenance personnel in the use and safe handling of tools and equipment.
  • Energy Conservation: Maintain and make recommendations for the plant's energy conservation program.
  • Employee Evaluation: Evaluate employee performance and make recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Five years of experience in maintenance and repair of water or wastewater plant equipment, with at least two years of supervisory experience.
  • Licenses and Certificates: Possession of a valid Texas State Driver's License and a TCEQ Class C' Water license required.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be able to sit, stand, and transport themselves from building to building. They will also be able to drive a vehicle to and from various work sites. The employee will work in seasonal temperatures and may be exposed to mechanical, chemical, and electrical hazards. They must be able to lift in excess of 50 lbs, climb stairs, and open access hatches.
