Position Overview

The Telemetry Registered Nurse plays a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. This position requires expertise in telemetry nursing, focusing on acute care patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Specialty Focus: RN Telemetry I
  • Unit Flexibility: Must be adaptable to float between units: 2N, 3N, 5N, & 6N
  • Support Staff: Nursing Assistant support available
  • Leadership: Charge Nurse present on the unit
  • Monitoring Capabilities: Unit equipped with telemetry monitoring
  • EMR System: Meditech
  • Patient Demographics: Primarily adults
  • Experience Requirement: Minimum of 2 years in Telemetry nursing
  • IV Pump Technology: Alaris
  • Care Level: Focus on acute telemetry patients, including cardiac drips and post-surgical cardiovascular care
  • Common Diagnoses: Includes CV diagnoses, chest pain, CHF, AFib, pre and post heart catheterization, pneumonia, and more
Job Requirements
  • Experience: 2 years in Telemetry
  • Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required
Schedule Information
  • Employment Type: Per Diem Nursing Float Pool for RN Telemetry
  • Guaranteed Hours: 0
  • Shift Type: 12-Hour Nights
  • Floating Requirement: Mandatory floating within units

  • Uniform: Scrub color required: Ceil Blue
  • Hiring Clause: Right to Hire clause present
  • Assignment Structure: Scheduled on a shift basis (Per Diem)
  • Temporary Position Policy: Candidates who have worked fewer than 25 shifts of at least 12 hours may not be permanently hired by the client
