Position Title: Environmental Specialist II - Nuclear Fuel Services

Job Summary:

The Environmental Specialist II is adept in the design and execution of monitoring initiatives and investigative assessments, providing oversight to ensure the effective implementation of these processes. This role involves identifying and addressing issues that may impact data quality or integrity, ensuring that results are accurately interpreted and communicated.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develops monitoring initiatives and investigative assessments in accordance with relevant technical, regulatory, safety, and quality standards, integrating quality improvement concepts into designs.
  2. Ensures that safety and environmental data accurately reflect the conditions being assessed, and that analytical results undergo thorough review and validation; identifies and resolves issues affecting data quality or integrity.
  3. Analyzes safety and environmental data, effectively communicating findings and recommendations to project and program management.
  4. Drafts plans and procedures outlining sampling strategies, data quality standards, and methodologies for sampling, analysis, and data management.
  5. Generates reports detailing methodologies, results, findings, and conclusions from monitoring initiatives and investigative assessments.
  6. Provides supervision and/or technical guidance to team members responsible for data collection, processing, and management tasks, ensuring that program and project objectives are met according to specified criteria.
  7. Acts as the primary liaison for safety and environmental subcontractors, including laboratories and professional services; communicates specifications and requirements clearly, monitors performance, resolves issues, and reports progress to project and program management.
  8. Encourages teamwork and collaboration; may serve as team leader or group supervisor.

Educational Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field, accompanied by a minimum of two years of relevant experience.

Experience Requirements:

Possessing a Bachelor's Degree, candidates should have three (3) to five (5) years of relevant experience. Postgraduate studies may be considered as a substitute for some work experience.

Compensation:

The expected salary range for this position is competitive and will be determined based on local market factors and the individual candidate's qualifications, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also include additional elements such as annual cash incentives and a comprehensive benefits package.
