Overview

The Shuttle Driver is responsible for transporting passengers to and from assigned locations. Depending on the contractual need, this could be around or near an airport, commercial building, hospital, sports arena, entertainment venue, educational facility, or warehouse.

This role includes tips, up to $100/day.

Basic Qualifications

To be eligible for this role, you must:

  • Be 21 years of age or older
  • Have a current/valid Drivers License
  • Pass a Motor Vehicle Report
  • Pass an ODOT physical
  • Have one (1) year of prior work experience as a passenger shuttle driver (preferred)
  • Have 1 year of experience driving a box truck or similar vehicle
Responsibilities

The Shuttle Driver will be responsible for:

  • Transporting, loading, and unloading passengers, providing daily transportation services at designated pick-up and drop-off locations
  • Ensuring the safe loading and unloading of passengers, including the safe operation and handling of specialized equipment for unloading passengers with special needs (e.g., wheelchair lifts and tie-downs)
  • Helping passengers to load and unload luggage as needed
  • Inspecting vehicles on a regular basis to find any unsafe conditions or maintenance issues; performing routine cleaning and bus maintenance activities
  • Meeting patrons needing assistance to and from various airport locations and lots
  • Inspecting the shuttle for preexisting damage record information using an electronic device or manual ticket
  • Providing excellent customer service to guests; responding to guest inquiries in a courteous manner, giving directions to the nearest highway, destination, etc.
  • Maintaining and enforcing bus evacuation plan and coordinating bus evacuation activities as appropriate
  • Immediately reporting any incidents or claims to Operations Manager or Shift Lead
  • Refueling and maintaining shuttle equipment and fuel use logs
  • Maintaining a clean work environment, disinfecting the shuttle after each use
  • Performing pre-inspection and post-inspection activities to ensure proper operating conditions, adherence to prescribed Department of Transportation standards, and compliance with proper safety standards
Pay

$10.83/hr + Tips
